“HOW CAN WE CHANGE THE WORLD?!”
Tonight I watched a piece of theatre that changed my life. For the final few moments of the show we watched the dragon of Capitalism die. “Burn it all down” said the signs. Burn it all down. Not a new political party - start politics again from scratch. Not a different story - change the very language we communicate in. Burn it all down and start again.
After the performance @nicolactor and I sat in my car and tried to figure out how to change the world. No joke. We asked the question again and again and again until we realised what we were asking was “what can we do?” And “what can I change” and the answer is simple: I can only change myself, and we can only love.
Love can burn it all down just as well as hate - but then the difference- love can build it all back up the right way.
I don’t know how a revolution of a one can be a revolution of an infinite, non-dualistic one. And I do not know how I will live my life now it has changed. But I do know this: my life it will not be built of I CANNOTs:
I cannot use fossil fuels, I cannot eat meat, I cannot buy nestle, I cannot put my money in banks.
My life will be built of I CANs:
I can make choices that contribute to balance, I can make ethical choices, greener choices, I can live in a way not dictated by society or convention. I can.

When I started going to yoga classes I fell out of every single standing balance. 3 - 4 - 5 seconds in tree was a massive achievement for me. Now I stand on one foot tall and steady with ease.
As I advance in my practise it’s the same with other poses - binds I can’t take, toes that can’t touch my head, arm balances come tumbling down.
But the important thing is that I begin. That is the choice we have to make in our stories; to begin.
And the rest writes itself ⭐️
